Review of work-based assessment methods
OPME takes a lead in work-based assessment research
OPME has recently completed an extensive literature review of current work-based assessment methodologies. This review examines the methods available for the work-based assessment of health professionals (pre and post qualification), dimensions of performance being assessed instrument quality (including validity, reliability, feasibility, acceptability, and educational impact), and identifies challenges and recommendations for educators and researchers alike.
A proposal to refine and publish this review as part of the Best Evidence Medical Education (BEME) Collaboration has recently been accepted and initiated.

Available for download is a report of the review. This is a compilation of working documents.
